Would you like to learn basic ceramic hand-building and glazing techniques?

Fall in love with the art of ceramics and learn the basic techniques of hand-building and glazing at the Liekki Art House's Ceramics for Beginners Course at our inspiring studio.

At the Ceramics for Beginners course the group meets three times, in a relaxed atmosphere and you'll learn the basics of pinching, coiling, beginner friendly slab-building techniques and glazing.

During the course, you will be able to build ceramic pieces of your choice and you will have access to all the studio's equipment and a wide selection of plaster molds to help you with the basic designs and engobe paints to decorate your pieces. Within the first two course days we'll design and build your pieces and during the third day we'll glaze and decorate your bisque fired pieces.

The course is suitable for anyone who is interested in ceramics. No previous experience in ceramics is necessary - with us it's simple to come and learn new things or refresh your skills after a break our inspiring guidance.

The course serves as a good basis for working in our open workshop.
